What is MindSonar?

MindSonar is like an X-ray Machine for the Mind
MindSonar measures how people think (Meta Programs) and what they find important (Graves Drives). Someone’s unique personal thinking style is made up of a combination of Meta Programs and Graves Drives. Tag line: Getting to the heart of your thinking.

Context, Thinking, Feeling, Doing, Results
How someone thinks, their mindset, often determines their emotions and their actions. All this happens in a context, a situation. Emotions and actions determine results.

Who Uses MindSonar?
MindSonar is used all over the world, mostly by consultants, coaches, team builders and organisational developers. They use MindSonar in organisations like an olympic sports team (teambuilding), the armed forces  (leadership development) or an automobile manufacturer (sales).

MindSonar is the New Profiling
MindSonar is not a personality test. Personality tests tell people how they are – always and everywhere. They lock people up in personality boxes. MindSonar is the liberator. It assumes that people will think differently in different situations. Tag line: Because you are so much more…

Used by Professionals Only
MindSonar is offered exclusively through a network of certified MindSonar Professionals. The combination of a refined measurement plus an expert  Professional gives MindSonar solutions their unique power.

Sample Graph
This is what a MindSonar profile looks like:

example_report_2013_2

  • Looking at the top part of the graph, you see the Sonar Diagram (green sonar image) with the four most prominent Meta Programs and the three most prominent Graves Drives.
  • On the top of the page on the right side, above the Sonar Diagram, you see the criteria and their opposites. This is literally what the respondent finds important.
  • Under the criteria (the colored circles) the Graves Drives are shown. They are ordered from smallest to largest.
  • The bottom half of the diagram page (bar graph) shows the Meta Program scores.
  • Under the Meta Program bars there is a graph showing response time. Red bars indicate exceptionally long response times, green bars indicate rel;atively short response times.

“Those who have tried to develop instruments
have based them on what people think, do or believe,
which is not the proper base for assessment devices.
They should be based not on what the person thinks but how he thinks”.
